California Eastern Laboratories joins ZigBee Alliance

ZigBee-AllianceSanta Clara, CA — June 30, 2008 — To advance its commitment to the design and manufacturing of ZigBee products, CEL has announced that it has joined the Zigbee Alliance. The Alliance is an international organization of over 250 companies dedicated to the development and deployment of the Zigbee/IEEE 802.15.4 open global standard for wireless connectivity. As a Participant Member, CEL will take part in Alliance working groups and member meetings, helping to shape and drive international ZigBee specifications.

“Our ZigBee radio modules provide a fully integrated, drop-in solution for our customers’
low cost, low power IEEE 802.15.4 networks,” says Rich Howell, Director of Business Development. “By joining the Alliance, we can assure our customers that our products are not only industry-compatible, but that they’re also based on the most advanced ZigBee hardware and software.”
